- Tanks, planes, and helicopters can travel to other maps via the highway
- Trains via the map edge where the tracks leave the map
- Boats via the map edge where the river leaves the map
Using highways consumes fuel. The amount required depends on the fuel consumption of the vehicle/unit using the highway. 20% of the amount is credited to the destination map upon arrival (so you don't arrive with 0 fuel and can't do anything). To use the highway, 1000x the vehicle/ helicopter's fuel consumption per second during normal travel is required. For example, for a Willy it's 5,000 fuel. 1,000 fuel is credited to the destination map upon the Willy's arrival.
If you don't have a base on a map and destroy an enemy's base defense, you receive a free conquest vehicle to capture the base. You can bring in a conquest vehicle via an allied airport (Cost: 250 Gold)
